We were treated to a lovely Brunch at Liquidity by two of our friends. We had vaguely heard of it but were delighted to be introduced to this lovely establishment with a terrific and different view of the valley.
We were invited to a wine tasting before we sat down and tried a few of them Yum. After being seated the men went outside and came in suggesting we go on the patio to enjoy our meal. It was so warm outside. We ordered a glass of wine and then perused the menu. There were four of us and yup – you guessed it – we tried the entire brunch menu.
Two people ordered the local cured ham and farm potato skillet. It has a fried egg, bell peppers, spring onions and a house heirloom tomato hot sauce. They devoured that and got to sample what the other two had ordered……sort of.
My friend ordered the braised short rib melt and loved it. Her order was a Terroir Cascadia cheese, grilled bread, herb scramble, arugula and a smokey cherry merlot ketchup. I ordered the brioche bread pudding French toast with white chocolate shavings, almond crunch, raspberries and crème fraiche. OMG! Of course mine was the best.
Not to consider the meal over, we ordered (you guessed it) two different desserts. Three of us ordered the gingered pear tea custard (like a crème brulee), topped with a vanilla braised summer peach pear compote and almond crunch. The other lady ordered the warm skillet brioche bread pudding with house churned white chocolate ice cream and a mulled red wine caramel. Oh my! We won’t be having dinner for sure tonight.
Our server was exceptional. Throughout the entire meal for us and others on the deck she served from the right and removed from the left. Very few servers get this. It was lovely. Yes, we will return. It was a super treat and a wonderful way to be introduced to a new venue.
