El Rinconcillo Restaurant, Seville

We were off to dine in the fourth oldest continuous running restaurant in Europe. You are welcomed with a welcoming Sangria and then you are presented with the history of the family, the jamons (hams) hanging from the ceiling to age a minimum of 24 months, a lot of the tiles on the walls are the original ones and the stone floor we are standing on is as well.

Now we go upstairs for a real treat. It is, as is the Spanish tradition, a tapas dinner. Don’t kid yourself here, they never stop coming. The wines, beers, coca colas and Sangerias flow with no hesitation.

It is quaint, lovely, certainly tasty especially the deep fried eggplant (Aubergine). They could have kept that coming all night long.

Now we leave and walk up the street to take a horse carriage ride around this part of the City. It looked like a parade with 39 people (4 to a carriage) and everyone stopping to stare.

This evening was a highlight.
