den Artist, Antwerp

Tonight we were out to another fine restaurant called den Artist. It was full, noisy and fun.

Don ordered Moule and Frites (a bucket full of Mussels and fries). Carole ordered some kind of spicy meatballs and vegetable dish and Lucille and I ordered the half roast chicken with applesauce and mini salad.

The 3 ladies shared a carafe of white wine and it was delightful.

Once again we were full but had to order the crème brulee…well we did! Oh, did I tell you they also had that silly French coffee? hahaha  yup they did and I did.

Trendy area that the tourists don’t normally get to. Too bad…they are so super great.

Keg Restaurant-Victoria, B.C.

Friday night we (my cousins, husband and myself) went to The Keg for dinner. We were seated immediately and our server was right there taking orders for any drinks (water, wine, coffee, etc.) and then we ordered. My one cousin is allergic to garlic (poor thing) and asked what she could order. The server told her to order anything on the menu but state NO SPICE and she would be fine.  The orders were all different. Prime Rib with seafood Oscar, plain Prime Rib, Flat Iron steak with seafood Oscar and Chicken with Seafood Oscar. EVERYTHING was absolutely perfect and no one left the table hungary or unhappy. Just the opposite, we wobbled away with big smiles I think.

We were on a family reunion weekend and the laughter from our table was pure joy and catching up was even better.

I forgot to ask permission to use our server’s name or even leave my card, but suffice to say the lovely lady from England was amazing and a credit to her profession. YES, I said profession. The Keg knows how to train their staff and seem to choose only the best for their establishment. Good on you! We will return.
