Church and State Winery, Brentwood Bay Area, B.C.

We drove here, on the spur of the moment, and were pleasantly delighted. It is serene on their balcony, overlooking the vineyard, and we ordered a light platter of cheese, meats, pickles etc. to share and I opted for a glass of their Pinot Gris and Mike, our server who resembles George Clooney, explained the differences of their wines to Kelly so she could make her choice.

She chose a sparkling Pinot Gris and, it was quite delightful. She got a bottle for her birthday (Monday).

It was most pleasant and, yes, we would do it again. It is fun to go with the flow sometimes and not have your excursion totally set in stone.
